June was filled with red, white and blue fabric in my sewing room!
The week before my husband's family reunion, I decided to make hostess gifts.
2 of the cousins invited the "E" side to their homes for the weekend.
I had signed up to take baked beans,
but thought the ladies needed a thank-you gift for their hard work.
I made the pillows from the free Craftsy pattern found here:
by Pretty Little Quilts
Both pillows use the same pattern.
The only difference is that the one on the right did not get the white triangles
on the corners to make a heart shape.
I think they turned out spectacular!
I was still in the star-spangled mood when we returned from the reunion
and since my sewing room was still strewn with the stars and stripes fabrics, I made these:
The mini wall-hanging and small table topper are adapted from the
free pattern found at Moda Fabrics.
I hope your home has a bit of red, white and blue in it!
Happy Birthday America!

Really love those mini quilts you made as hostess gifts. Oh so cute! It was so sweet of you to make them. And the wall hanging and table runner are so cute! Your house will be perfectly decorated for the Fourth of July! Thanks for sharing them on Wednesday Wait Loss!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you to make them pillows! They're really nice. I especially like the one that's heart shaped.
ReplyDeleteOh love those pillows!! And a terrific use of the leftovers to make the minis - you're all set for the Fourth!
ReplyDeleteI saw you highlighted at Wednesday Wait Loss, but I came from the Mystery QAL #2 linky. That project I don't see, though. =)
ReplyDeleteWhat cute pillows and wall hangings. I love holiday sewing. I made polka dot placemats this year with red dots on one side, blue dots on the other so I can mix or match them on the table depending on which side I flip up. Still have to quilt 'em though. Congratulations on getting your projects 100% completed. Love the bright true red and true blues. I am not a navy and maroon patriotic type.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Pillows. I am sure the hostess loved it and that you were her favorite guest. That is one sure way of getting invited to the next party :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pillows, what marvellous gifts. I especially love the heart one. Thanks for linking them up at Clever Chameleon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pillows and wall hangings!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the pillows and the wall quilt. Very patriotic.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I really like both the pillows and wall quilt!
