Just in the nick of time, I am getting this post written and linked up to
Connie Kresin's Freemotion by the River.
In January of this year, she started a Color of the Month Challenge.
I've always enjoyed Connie's projects and posts, so I thought I'd hop along to use up some of my stash.
Plus, she's in Iowa, so we have that in common too!
Connie chose the color RED for February.
I pulled out some fabrics to get a feel for what felt right together.
Reds can be so deceiving!
Following the pattern instructions for 'Checkered Hearts' written by Alexandra Bordallo, I had all 4 hearts sewn up quickly.
I matched up the seams and had my RED block completed and done!
2 blocks down and 10 more to go for this quilt top.
It's gonna be a colorful one!
