*Day 31 of 31 Days of Blogging Challenge (I MADE IT!!!!)
I love lists and have many on the go, I also have special notebooks for particular kinds of lists. I too change the direction of the loo roll if it isn't right. We have many other things in common too, I am a Christian, homebody, upset by bad weather, wear glasses, never buy anything full price, and I am completely with you on wanting to do dinner parties but it is just not me (it makes me too anxious). x
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to say that you are a giant compared to me... I am 5' !! I'd love your winning recipe... not that I bake too often, but I am curious!! I still live in the same town where I was born and my kids were born here too! I get my left and right mixed up and have to stop and think when giving or getting directional information (and let's not confuse things anymore with your left and my right!! Lol).
ReplyDeleteomg I love posts like these where I get a glimpse into the real person!!! Thank you for doing it. Now to the things we have in common. The first thing was a first car in the 70's. I first drove the fam car, a tank, then a beater station wagon (cool chick driving a station wagon, imagine!) then an olds. Father was an abusive alcoholic as well. yep. I'm very intuitive too, wonder if it comes from trying to read a situation growing up? I became an aunt at age 5. Involved in a car accident with my sister driving when I was about 5. #27-30- all yes to me too. French fries scary movies, yep yep. rainy days, ick. I did teeter around in Candies heels as a young thing on the disco floor.
ReplyDeleteAnd finally, big connect on #49. We need respect and kindness, we've been hurt enough for a lifetime, and it really isn't all that hard y'all, just be nice.
Like Kathy.

This was fun to read. I would have never thought of these statements. A great way to get to know you.
ReplyDeleteI also love a bath over a shower and absolutely love coffee, only I drink at least 2 pots a day! I have been a Christian all of my life and always seek to improve my life. Putting the toilet roll on in the same way you do is a big thing in our home, I try hard not to change it at others yet barely succeed. I could eat French Fries every single day and still want more! I do not remember when I started wearing glasses, but it was during grade school and due to the fact that I was getting horrible headaches. I still wear glasses today, recently went to bifocals. I also have to look at my hands to tell my left from my right. Plus, in the years that my husband and I have been together, which equals the time I have been quilting, we have become big time homebodies. Once again, I enjoyed this post and sharing parts that are common. Thank you for sharing and have a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteHi and know that I completely enjoyed reading all of the posts here...First off, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year....i'm a mother of 6 which have all flown from the nest...out of the six none are quilters and with 4 being girls, that makes me sad....I live with my pet miniature Schnauzer which has no sense of humor...Before my husband passed away he used to tease me about living in quilt shops. He would say "it's all about the chase" (sometimes I think he was right) I enjoy quiet days and sometimes several on end...I'm proud to know God and feel good about our relationship...My sight is beginning to fade..(I'm also Type 2 diabetic) so I guess I'd better get busy making the quilts I've been so busy "chasing for" If anyone has an idea on how to use all the salvage peices I've been saving for years please let me know..The only thing I come up with is the Split Rail Fence...but don't know how I can use such thin peices...oh dear!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Kathy! These are so fun. Things we have in common: 7,16,24,26,31,32,33,45,47,49.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I feel like I learnt a lot from that - some odd things, but what's even more hilarious is that the odd ones are the things I have in common!! lol.
