My alarm clock and car thermostat have to be set at an even number.
Those odd numbers just make me uncomfortable!

  2. I am also no shoes when sewing. I can't shower or get dressed unless I have my bed made each morning.

  3. Guess I'm different-always shoes on when I sew! I drop too many pins!

  4. hmm. I can build lego models just by looking at the picture (no instructions).

  5. I have slept corner to corner of the bed since i was a baby...that DID NOT change when i got married sadly for my husband...so everynight, i start out on my side of the bed, and every morning we wake up and he is in his little triangle curled up tight. He has never complained though, not once in all our twenty years of marriage, lol. God love him. Kellie W. kwarren29@cox.net

  15. I have a thing about the number 13. I don't like to do anything if 13 is involved. For instance,if I am making a comment and I am number 13, I will try to wait until someone else comments first. Silly, isn't it.

  17. I agree with the no shoes to sew thing! I need to be able to feel the pedal beneath my foot! Quirky about me? I fold all the edges when I wrap presents. Can't have a raw edge of paper showing!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I use my left foot on the pedal of my sewing machine. My machine has a knee lift and if I get my right leg and my right foot going I seem to mess things up. So years ago I started using my left foot on the pedal. I still use my right foot when driving though!

  19. After reading all of your posts, I am thinking that my quirkiness is that I sew with my shoes ON! I seldom walk around barefoot. Just the habit that my Mother instilled in me, from being raised in an old farm house with cold floors .... and hardwood that often had splinters come off. I love wearing sandals ... but do not like sand in them. Eww ick! I guess my feet are just plain quirky!

    ReplyDelete
  20. The only thing I do is sew barefoot. If I'm home or away and I'm using my own sewing machine it's more comfortable for me to sew without shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love wearing Pajamas 90% of the time! I also have a thing for even numbers and it drives me crazy when they arent!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I always sew barefoot or with socks on.

I love my mom's featherweight so much that before the foot peddle was fixed I used it wearing socks till I felt the shocks through my socks, then I moved to slippers till I could feel the zaps through those. That didn't stop me I then wore shoes till I could feel the tingles from my finger tips to my elbows when I touched the base of the machine. lol When that happened it was time to have it fixed.

  23. I'm like Julia Roberts husband in "Sleeping With the Enemy", I like the towels evenly lined up. Even in my linen closet the towels are all folded the same way, stacked and lined up. As a kid I could tell if you walked in my bedroom because you left footprints on my freshly vacuumed carpet. A little crazy I know. Merry! Merry!

  32. I'm the opposite with numbers - I always set my alarm to an odd number (4:03 AM currently) because I feel like I sleep better if I do that,.. isn't that dumb? But I always do it.

I also sew barefoot... seems like a lot of us do!

  56. Because I learned to drive (in Southern California) without shoes on, even in Drivers Ed, for years I wasn't able to drive with shoes on. It wasn't until recently when I moved to Oregon as an adult and couldn't keep taking my boots off in the winter that I had to buckle down and learn how to drive when I couldn't "feel the pedal". I didn't believe I could do it, but it turned out to be possible.

I was even thinking about putting a roll into the sewing machine cabinet. Thank you for being a part of the SMS Giveway. I loved the idea of a pattern and a kit. That makes winning this so much fun. 154. I have to sleep with a noise maker running (white noise machine). It's so bad that I have made sure to find one that I can take with me when I travel. I have even gone as far as making a carrying case for it.

  158. I'm at Loose Ends if I don't have something to quilt (or knit). One small group I belong to is called "loose ends" - named from having that feeling after an embellishment workshop. Another small group is "loose threads" - sew either way, it's Loose. ;-)

  159. Great question. Hrm....
The sound of a football game on TV makes me very sleepy. Nothing is better for an afternoon nap than a football game on in the background. :)

  165. Even numbers, LOL! I don't think I have any quirky things other than liking to listen to CBC (Canadian) while I sew, and in the early morning WRCJ a Detroit classical/jazz station that we can stream while in Florida!

  167. Hi Kathy. I'm new to your blog, and I had lots of fun looking through your gallery. You are one busy lady! :) I too sew barefoot. Well....with just socks on this time of year. In fact, I almost NEVER put shoes on. Only if I absolutely have to. Thanks for the chance to win that super adorable bench pillow kit from KimberBell and the Moda Feed Company charm pack...also adorable! Happy Holidays

  172. I cannot stand to go barefoot- I am only without shoes in the bed or the shower. I cannot stand to use a hairbrush, don't own one. I use a comb when my hair is wet otherwise I just use my fingers in my hair.

  174. Wow, we share some quirkiness! The sewing thing and the numbers thing! I love ice cream, but not out of a bowl. I like it better straight out of the pint container, preferably Haagen Das coffee flavored. :)
